From Madagascar where it occurs in a granitic pegmatite in crystals up to 7 cm. Described as a cesium analog of rhodizite. Fluoresces weak yellow green under SW. Found with a number of other minerals known to be capable of fluorescence including albite, microcline, tourmaline. spodumine, danburite, fluorapatite.
